Senator Hawley stated, “Let the people see the truth.”
In a unanimous vote, the Senate supported legislation that mandates the declassification of intelligence materials involving the Wuhan lab origins of the COVID-19 virus which led to the worldwide pandemic.
The measure, which had been introduced previously, was resubmitted by Senators Mike Braun of Indiana and Josh Hawley of Missouri. Their impetus was the release of a Department of Energy report that concluded the virus was likely the result of a lab leak. They were reinforced by an acknowledgment from FBI Director Christopher Wray in testimony to Congress that the bureau believes the pandemic likely resulted from “a potential lab incident in Wuhan.”
The bill now moves to the House of Representatives where it is likely to pass.
