President says infrastructure projects will be “made with American products.”
The White House Office of Management and Budget released a policy proposal after President Biden’s State of the Union address that provides new guidelines for government-funded infrastructure projects. If approved, the guidance would require federal infrastructure projects to source key construction materials from American manufacturers. President Biden’s administration has focused on rebuilding domestic manufacturing, which the president highlighted in his recent speech on Capitol Hill.
“When we do these projects… we’re going to buy American,” the president said. “It’s totally consistent with international trade rule.” President Biden said the new rules will ensure the use of U.S.-made “lumber, glass, drywall, fiber optic cables. And on my watch, American roads, American bridges, and American highways are going to be made with American products.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Shalanda Young as she heads the Office of Management and Budget.
- For President Biden to avail himself of much wise counsel as he makes decisions about the nation’s economy.
