Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to Me shall not hunger; and whoever believes in Me shall never thirst.” – John 6:35
The Space Shuttle Columbia broke apart as it reentered the atmosphere over Texas on this day in 2003. All seven astronauts on board died. During the launch, a piece of foam dislodged from the external tank of the shuttle and hit the left wing’s thermal protection system tiles. As the shuttle reentered Earth’s atmosphere, hot atmospheric gases penetrated the heat shield because of the damage. The resulting instability of the internal structure of the wing caused the orbiter to disintegrate. Flight operations halted for over two years after the disaster. In the life of believers, there are many things that can cause instability. However, cultivating your relationship with Jesus not only helps to stabilize your life through everyday trials, but offers hope during times of crisis. Thank God today for His guidance through life’s uncertainties.
As the Lord leads, pray with us…

- For the safety of astronauts currently serving at the International Space Station.
