Leaders discuss Japan’s advanced semiconductor production.
Department of Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo recently met with Japan’s Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Yasutoshi Nishimura in Washington regarding the collaboration of the two nations, particularly about the production of advanced semiconductors by Japan.
The department stated, “The Secretary and Minister discussed the importance of working together to promote and protect critical and emerging technologies, including through R&D and export controls, so as to support our technological competitiveness and to address our shared security interests.“
Minister Nishimura said, “Building up our economic security is a matter of great urgency.” He added, “As for semiconductors, biotechnology, and other important emerging technologies, Japan and the U.S. should join forces to together drive global innovation.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Raimondo to be led by God as she strengthens commerce ties with Japan.
- For wisdom for U.S. officials as they support advanced semiconductor production.
