Increased concerns over security as new Congress prepares to swear in next month.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a bulletin last week to provide the public with information about the current status of terrorism. The “National Terrorism Advisory System Bulletin” warns of heightened domestic terrorism even as extremist attacks continue to be on the rise.
“Our homeland continues to face a heightened threat environment – as we have seen, tragically, in recent acts of targeted violence – and is driven by violent extremists seeking to further a political or social goal or act on a grievance,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the DHS secretary to be wise in his priorities and management of government personnel.
- For national security officials as they advise the president and Secretary Mayorkas.
- For federal security officers and agents as they seek to prevent acts of violence and other terror attacks.
