Today, President Joe Biden is traveling to Bay City, Michigan. He will visit the site of the South Korean company SK Siltron, which was recently expanded to manufacture semiconductor wafers for the microchips and components used in electric vehicles and 5G cellular technology.
The president will speak about the CHIPS and Science Act that passed a few months ago, highlighting his administration’s commitment to American manufacturing and strengthening the economy “from the bottom up and the middle out.”
At the time the legislation passed, President Biden stated, “Remember, we invented these chips, we modernized these chips. We made them work. There’s a lot more we can get done.” He added, “Have faith in our country and faith in what we can do. As I said, there’s nothing beyond our capacity.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the safety of the president and his aides as they fly to Michigan.
- For wisdom for the president and Governor Whitmer as semiconductor manufacturing is supported by multiple levels of government.
- For administration officials as they work on measures to strengthen supply chains.
