$250 million being provided through low-interest loans.
The Department of Energy has opened applications for the Energy Efficiency Revolving Loan Fund Capitalization Grant Program. Up to $250 million in low-interest loans are being offered to states and territories looking to update the energy efficiency of commercial and residential buildings. The department says that the upfront costs, which will go to local economies, pay off in dividends over time as green energy solutions stack up more energy savings.
“By expanding access to energy efficiency upgrades for American families and small to medium-sized businesses, we will generate energy savings and deliver cleaner air, helping states and historically underserved communities experience the broad benefits of energy efficiency,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Granholm to be led by the Lord as she manages her department.
- For U.S. energy officials as they pursue the president’s energy agenda.
- For recipients of federal energy loans to make effective use of the funding.
