Today, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are taking part in the official turkey pardoning ceremony at the White House. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “The President will celebrate the 75th anniversary of the National Thanksgiving Turkey Presentation, reflect upon the time-honored traditions of Thanksgiving, and wish American families a safe and healthy holiday.”

In the afternoon, following the ceremony, the president and first lady will travel to North Carolina where they will visit Marine Corps Station Cherry Point. “There, they will participate in a Friendsgiving dinner with service members and military families as part of the White House Joining Forces initiative,” the press secretary added.
