Daniel Werfel served in the IRS under President Obama.
Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen has voiced her support of President Biden’s nomination of Daniel Werfel to the position of IRS Commissioner. The nominee currently serves as the Boston Consulting Group’s Managing Director of their global public sector practice and previously worked as the Acting Commissioner of the IRS during President Obama’s administration.
“After decades of underfunding, the IRS now has the resources it needs to improve services for taxpayers and modernize outdated technology and infrastructure,” Secretary Yellen said. “Danny’s deep commitment to fairness and making sure government works for all will also be invaluable as we improve the taxpayer experience and eliminate a two-tiered tax system.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
