Three programs provide critical services to homeless veterans.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has published three grant opportunities for the 2024 Fiscal Year. The Supportive Services for Veteran Families program and two grants through the Grant and Per Diem program will be awarding a total of 390 grants to organizations in all 50 states dedicated to providing homeless veterans with beds, transitional housing, and case management services.
“These grants will provide critical resources to help Veterans and their families climb out of homelessness or prevent them from falling into homelessness in the first place,” said VA Secretary Denis McDonough. “Every Veteran deserves a good, stable, safe home in this country they fought to defend — and these grants are a key part of making that goal a reality.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the VA secretary to seek the Lord’s guidance as he heads the department.
- For VA officials as they seek to prevent or resolve homelessness among the veteran population.
- That U.S. veterans who are homeless, or at risk of becoming so, would avail themselves of assistance.
