Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus. – Colossians 3:17
Keys and access codes are a quiet but powerful force in your life. If you do not have the right one for your car, garage, phone, gym locker, laptop, or bank account, you are not getting in, and it can certainly be frustrating. The same is true in your spiritual life. The fundamentals of faith as taught in Scripture are what unlock a Christ-centered life.
As you yield to the Spirit living in your heart, gratitude becomes the basis for walking with God. “The one who offers thanksgiving as his sacrifice glorifies me” (Psalm 50:23). As you cultivate thankfulness in the simplest, regular components of your day, humility naturally develops. A humble outlook opens possibilities for God to do work in ways you could never achieve on your own: “To the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor“ (Proverbs 3:34). As gratitude and humility pervade your thoughts, God’s grace will define your actions.
A tale-tale sign of the person walking in the spirit of Christ is the acknowledgment of God’s great goodness in the past. Not surprisingly, that remembrance naturally leads one back to gratitude, which again develops a bit of humility, that again reflects upon the goodness of God… it is a feedback loop of faith!
“Solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil” (Hebrews 5:14). Dedicate yourself to unlocking the blessings of a maturing faith. Pray that those in positions of authority in America will embrace a grateful and meek attitude, focused on Christ and walking humbly with God.

11 And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. 15 Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, 16 from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.
