The updated vaccine is formulated for the Omicron variant.
As President Biden received an updated COVID-19 booster shot this week, he took the opportunity to encourage other Americans to do the same.
“We can do so much now to reduce the number of people who die from this disease. We have the tools, we have the vaccines, we have the treatments,” the president said. “It’s about your health and the health of your loved ones.”
The White House has been promoting the use of the updated booster shots specifically formulated to address the Omicron subvariants of COVID-19. The CDC has stated 100% of current American COVID-19 cases are the Omicron variant. It is estimated that only 20 million Americans have received the new booster shots at this point.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For CDC Director Rochelle Walensky to seek God’s direction as she oversees her agency.
- For Secretary Becerra to be discerning as he heads the Department of Health and Human Services.
- For the president and his healthcare advisors as they evaluate the status of the coronavirus in the nation.
