Department seeks for strategies to make domestic energy more reliable.
The Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Request for Information this week, opening up for public comment on how best to utilize the authority provided to them through the Defense Production Act. The utilization of the act is intended to rebuild the gaps in domestic energy security that have been revealed since the pandemic and Russia’s war on Ukraine and gave the department greater decision-making capabilities to fill those gaps as quickly as possible.
“DOE is eager to continue hearing ideas from industry, labor, environmental, energy justice, and state, local, and Tribal stakeholders about how we can best use this powerful new authority to support the clean energy workforce and technologies needed to combat climate change,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For U.S. energy officials as they deliberate the usage of the Defense Production Act in securing the nation’s energy infrastructure.
- For Secretary Granholm to seek God’s guidance as she fields input from the public regarding the use of the federal act.
- For the president and his advisors as they continue to pursue renewable energy sources.
