Secretary of State Antony Blinken remains in New York City taking part in the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly. He is meeting with high-level foreign ministers and leaders.
Members of the Senate are working to finalize legislation on a stopgap government funding measure. On Thursday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York moved to advance the budget bill so that a test vote can be made in the coming week. The legislation will require support from at least 60 senators to pass.
