Today, President Joe Biden is traveling to Detroit, Michigan to attend the North American International Auto Show at Huntington Place. U.S. Representative Debbie Dingell of Michigan invited the president and is expected to attend.
The White House stated that the president will speak about his administration’s economic plans and “highlight the electric vehicle manufacturing boom in America.”
The Department of Commerce recently awarded more than $52 million to the “Global Epicenter of Mobility” regional program in Detroit which is intended to support the auto industry in Michigan in the production of electric and autonomous vehicles.
