Will reflect and support one of Biden’s executive orders
The Department of Energy (DOE) recently released its first Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility Strategic Plan. The plan was made in response to President Biden’s executive order issued in June of 2021 which ordered the federal government to strengthen equal opportunity policies in their employment and hiring process. The DOE’s plan reestablishes an Office for Diversity, implements equitability training for hiring managers, and establishes new policies for gender identity in the workplace.
“DOE is building upon the President’s priorities to advance equity by strengthening the Department’s potential to deliver transformative change across energy sectors and broaden the pipeline of talent who will ensure our clean energy future,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Granholm to look to the Lord for guidance as she implements diversity and equity under the president’s order.
- For the president to receive discerning counsel regarding his energy and equity policies.
- For U.S. energy officials as they pursue and develop clean energy strategies.
