$75.5 million investment will move the project to completion.
The Department of the Interior officials joined the Bureau of Reclamation leaders for a celebratory ribbon-cutting ceremony for a $75.5 million investment into the Lewis & Clark Regional Water System. The funding is part of a $420 million investment into rural water and will help the water system construct the remaining 32 miles of pipeline necessary to complete it.
“Through this $75.5 million investment provided through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the tremendous partnership of Lewis & Clark, this project will eventually benefit 300,000 people in the tri-state area, supporting families, farmers, wildlife, and furthering our work to tackle historic drought conditions,” said Assistant Secretary for Water and Science Tanya Trujillo.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Assistant Secretary Trujillo as she heads the Interior’s Office of Water and Science.
- For wisdom for Secretary Deb Haaland as she works with states and tribes regarding water conservation and management.
- For U.S. officials as they seek to alleviate drought conditions in various regions.
