For more charging stations and affordable electric vehicle technology.
The Department of Energy announced a $96 million funding opportunity last week with the goal of helping decarbonize domestic transportation. President Biden’s administration is working toward electric vehicles making up half of all car sales by 2030. This funding will help build more accessible electric vehicle charging stations and advance affordable electric technology research for electric vehicle engines.
“To strengthen our transportation sector to support our growing economy, DOE is investing in clean mobility options that will eliminate harmful emissions, reduce our reliance on volatile fossil fuels, and cut energy costs,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “Achieving President Biden’s climate goals will require expanding accessibility to electric vehicles for all drivers and modernizing vehicles that power the agricultural and construction industries.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Granholm to seek God’s leading as she oversees efforts to reduce carbon emissions.
- For the president and his administration to consider all angles of the energy policies they implement and follow wise counsel.
- For God’s will to be accomplished in the United States.
