Today, President Joe Biden is expected to remain at the White House and has no public events on his schedule at this time. He is working on a variety of things virtually while he continues to recover from COVID-19. According to Chief Medical Advisor to the President Dr. Anthony Fauci, the president is “putting in a full day of work virtually and as each day goes by, he’s doing fine.”
On Saturday the World Health Organization declared the current monkeypox outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern. Director of the White House Pandemic Preparedness Office Raj Panjabi said that “a coordinated, international response is essential to stop the spread of monkeypox, protect communities at greatest risk of contracting the disease, and combat the current outbreak.” He added that while the administration is already carrying out a strategy to address the outbreak, “we must step up our work to aggressively combat this virus and protect communities in the United States that have been affected by monkeypox.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God’s healing hand to be on the president as he recovers from COVID-19.
- For wisdom for the physicians who are providing care to the president.
- For clear direction for the administration officials who are working to develop the U.S. response to the outbreak of monkeypox.
