President Biden signed an executive order to strengthen abortion access in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade last month. He spoke against the court’s decision and urged “the women of America to go to the ballot box“ over the issue.
He stated the American public could vote in November’s elections for legislators who would support codifying the ideals of Roe v. Wade into national law.
The executive order is intended to strengthen access to contraceptives and abortion medication, as well as support privacy protections surrounding reproductive health care.
