DOE Reports Clean Energy Employment Increase

The sector increased by 4% versus 2.8% overall growth.

On Tuesday, the Department of Energy (DOE) released the 2022 U.S. Energy and Employment Report (USEER). The report tracks energy market data for the use of both private and governmental analysts, and this most recent report found that the energy sector experienced 4.0% positive job growth in the year 2021. The sector experienced more growth than overall employment in the U.S., which only had a 2.8% increase in 2021.

“Amidst the unique challenges of a nation coming out of a global pandemic, America’s energy sector stands out with considerable job growth across nearly all industries,” said Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. “DOE’s USEER report shows that jobs critical to our clean energy transition are on the rise and poised for continued expansion thanks to the historic investments from the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretary Granholmas as she oversees the expansion of the Energy Department.
  • For officials of the Energy Department as they develop energy projects under the infrastructure law.
  • For wisdom for Labor Secretary Walsh as his agency seeks ways to support labor.
