Will support 40 projects spanning 175 million acres
Secretary Deb Haaland announced this month that the Department of the Interior will be making a $9 million investment in strategic sagebrush ecosystem projects. Forty projects in 8 western states are committed to preserving over 175 million acres of America’s unique sagebrush country, a contiguous ecosystem that covers one-third of the land mass in the lower 48 states. The funding will be made available this fiscal year through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
“This is an historic opportunity to put resources into the health and natural infrastructure of America’s sagebrush ecosystem, which serves as the lifeblood of rural communities and Tribal lands in the West,” said Secretary Haaland.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Haaland as she oversees the conservation of the sagebrush ecosystem.
- For Interior officials as they work on the sagebrush projects.
- For wisdom for the president and his administration as they focus on environmental concerns.
