Steve Wynn accused of being a Chinese agent.
The Department of Justice recently sued the former CEO of Wynn Resorts. The department alleges that Steve Wynn is in violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) by not being registered as a Chinese foreign agent after the department urged him to do so in 2018, 2021, and April 2022. From June to August 2017, Wynn had been contacting former President Donald Trump and members of his administration, urging them on behalf of China to cancel the visa of a Chinese business person seeking asylum from China in the United States.
“Where a foreign government uses an American as its agent to influence policy decisions in the United States, FARA gives the American people a right to know,” said Matthew G. Olsen, Assistant Attorney General for the department’s National Security Division.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Justice Department officials as they seek to enforce laws regarding foreign agents.
- For Assistant Attorney General Olsen as he heads the National Security Division of the DOJ.
- For National Security Advisor Sullivan as he gathers intelligence and keeps the president and his administration informed.
