Honors 876 employees for commitment to DHS mission.
Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas announced the winners of the 2022 DHS Secretary’s Awards last week. Eight hundred seventy-six individuals were selected from the 240,000 people currently employed by the Department of Homeland Security to receive this award. There are eight different categories for the awards to recognize unique aspects of leadership, with the highest award being the Exceptional Service Gold Medal.
“There is no higher calling than public service,” said Secretary Mayorkas. “The individuals we recognize today exemplify the best of our Department and the best of public service. I am grateful for their service to our nation and proud to recognize their extraordinary accomplishments.”
