Billy Nolen promoted from associate administrator for aviation safety.
President Biden’s administration announced last week that the associate administrator for aviation safety of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will be assuming the role of the acting administrator of the agency starting April 1. Billy Nolen started at the FAA in January and had previously been vice president for safety for WestJet Airlines.
“Billy Nolen has extensive expertise in aviation and a deep understanding of the vital role the FAA plays in ensuring the safety of the traveling public,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg stated. The previous FAA administrator, Steve Dickson, resigned a month ago, saying he wished to spend more time with his family.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Acting Administrator Billy Nolen as he steps into his new role.
- For discernment for the president as he nominates and appoints individuals to federal posts.
- For FAA officials as they seek to maintain safety in air travel and enforce federal regulations.
