Come Apart
Most people can say they’ve experienced periods of sheer exhaustion in their lives. Perhaps it was from a work project that took more hours than anticipated; maybe it was working on birthing a baby who was resistant to entering the world; maybe it was from an illness that only seemed to worsen in spite of the prescription or doctors’ advice. God understands. Jesus experienced exhaustion also. His example is the right one for you. He tells you to come apart – before you “come apart!” He wants you to find true rest, a time alone with nothing and no one to tell you anything. Mostly He wants you to come apart and be with Him so that He can mend your spirit. Whether you pray, read your Bible, or are simply still in His presence, come to Him and let Him give you peace and rest.
