Requests Congress extend funding to cover health care programs.
The White House has called on Congress to continue funding measures for the federal COVID-19 response. Because the funding is running out, the federal government will no longer be able to provide booster shots, help vaccinate the uninsured, and give states monoclonal antibody treatments for their constituents.
“In addition to the immediate need for funding, in order to facilitate a smooth transition to insurance coverage of life-savings COVID treatments the Administration is requesting that Congress provides authority to ensure seamless access to Medicare and insurance coverage for treatments under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA),” the White House concluded in its statement.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for members of Congress as they consider the president’s request for additional COVID funding.
- For the president and his health advisors to seek the Lord’s guidance as they craft and implement health care programs.
