First-round from Bipartisan Infrastructure Law supports over 100 projects
Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack announced last week that $166.5 million is available to invest in watershed infrastructure and flood prevention projects across the country. This newest implementation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will help propel 108 ongoing projects in 23 states to completion as a way to care for the land, the environment, and the communities they will benefit.
“Protecting our watersheds and saving lives is paramount,” Secretary Vilsack said. “We can extend financial assistance to underserved communities that live in constant fear of flooding, help with the effects of severe weather events, and put systems in place that will ensure a climate-resilient future to help communities thrive in the years to come.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his administration as they address flooding across the nation.
- For wisdom for Secretary Vilsack as he heads the USDA.
- For the infrastructure funds to be put to effective and efficient use.
