Call for “limited no-fly zone” in Ukraine airspace.
A group of foreign policy experts sent an open letter to President Biden’s administration, which called for a “limited no-fly zone” and for the United States to provide Ukraine with a-10 and MIG-29 aircraft for the purpose of self-defense. The letter was organized by the U.S.-Ukraine Foundation co-founder Robert McConnell and was signed by many notable ambassadors and war veterans, including former NATO supreme allied commander Gen. Philip Breedlove.
“The refrain ‘never again’ emerged in the wake of the Holocaust, and Ukrainians are wondering whether that pledge applies to them,” the group wrote. “It is time for the United States and NATO to step up their help for Ukrainians before more innocent civilians fall victim to Putin’s murderous madness.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his foreign policy advisors as they consider actions in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
- For wisdom for the president and U.S. military leaders as decisions are made regarding Ukraine.
