Promotes new energy manufacturing to former coal towns.
U.S. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm traveled to Lexington, Kentucky last week to tour Schneider Electric’s clean energy technology production facilities. She then held a roundtable meeting with local energy leaders, where they discussed how Kentucky and Appalachia were once vital for coal production and how best to plug those communities into clean energy production.
“The question is, are we going to be making that stuff or are we going to allow other countries to do it? This is why the president is really focused on bringing manufacturing back to America and taking advantage of this whole clean energy sector to be able to people to work here,” Secretary Granholm explained.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Granholm to seek God’s guidance as she promotes clean energy.
- For officials of the Energy Department as they develop renewable energy.
- For discernment for the president and his administration as they address energy development.
