The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced the extension of the application deadline for its ReConnect Program. The program provides loans and grants for construction, improvement, or acquisition of facilities and equipment needed to provide broadband service in eligible rural areas.
Rural Development Under Secretary Xochitl Torres Small stated, “Helping ensure that everyone who lives and works in rural America has access to high-speed internet is one of the Biden-Harris Administration’s top priorities.” He added that the “extension of the ReConnect Program deadline will help ensure that all applicants have the time they need to secure this critical funding.”
