Announcement made at Community College National Legislative Summit
The College Scorecard is an online tool provided by the U.S. Department of Education that compiles data from colleges across the country to help parents and students narrow their choices for secondary education. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona announced that the College Scoreboard has been updated to not only show potential career paths after collegiate courses but also average earnings data and student loan rates post-college.
“For so many students and families, the college search process can be overwhelming,” said Secretary Cardona. “The updated and enhanced College Scorecard shines a spotlight on affordability, inclusivity, and outcomes, over exclusivity and colleges that leave students without good jobs and with mountains of debt.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Cardona as he oversees efforts to improve the viability and reduce the cost of higher education.
- For education officials as they utilize the College Scorecard to support students.
- That students and their families would benefit from the updates made to the College Scorecard.
