When God Sings

Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.  – Romans 10:11

Some synonyms for the word shame are disgrace, embarrassment, dishonor, humiliation, and indignity. If you have ever been on the receiving end of any of these words, you know how awful they can feel. The Good News is that, when you stand before God the Father, you will not feel any of those things, if you put your faith and trust in Jesus.

You will stand before Him cleansed and forgiven, not only on the day of judgment but every day you walk the Earth as a believer. “For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:15-16). What marvelous grace! It is most likely that when a person stands before God’s throne, they will fall to their knees with fear and trembling as John did when he saw the glorified Christ (Revelation 1:17).

Praise God for the precious gift of salvation and the cleansing of your soul. You can stand before Him completely loved, accepted, and forgiven. Come before Him and imagine Him singing loudly over you as it says in Zephaniah 3:17. As the nation grapples with the pandemic, political division, and the degradation of godly values go boldly to the loving and forgiving God. Ask for His mercy and grace for the citizens and government leaders of the United States.

5 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him. 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments. 3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome. 4 For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

6 This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has borne concerning his Son. 11 And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
