Largest infrastructure investment by Transportation Department since construction of highway system.
The president’s administration continues to roll out the various aspects of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law as the Federal Highway Administration will launch the Bridge Formula Program. Through the infrastructure package, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg announced that $26.5 billion will be dedicated to rehabilitating bridges across states, territories, and tribal lands.
Secretary Buttigieg said the program will “fix thousands of bridges across the country – the single largest dedicated bridge investment since the construction of the Interstate highway system.” He added, “Modernizing America’s bridges will help improve safety, support economic growth, and make people’s lives better in every part of the country – across rural, suburban, urban, and tribal communities.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the transportation secretary as he oversees the investment in infrastructure.
- For U.S. officials who will disburse the funding for bridge renovations.
- For state leaders who work with the federal government on infrastructure improvements.
- For effective and efficient use of taxpayer dollars in these programs and projects.
