Deliverance
The 22nd chapter of 2 Samuel is David’s song to the Lord—a song of deliverance. It is sometimes seen as a snapshot of David’s life or, at minimum, a snapshot of his walk with the Lord. Each time he called upon God, God answered him! He knew God’s promises and relied on them. That is why he could say that God’s way is perfect. Moreover, the words of the Lord are true, proven to David in times of great distress. What is your song today? As you cruise back through the highlights of your spiritual life, how often can you say like David, “You, Lord, delivered me.” Hold fast to the promises of His Word. Then sing His praises for all He has done for you.
