Acknowledges the changing data and situations.
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky recently responded to pushback from health experts about how the CDC has handled information and guidelines about the coronavirus. Last month, the CDC changed guidance for COVID isolation, reducing the time to half the previous duration.
“We felt the need to take action before we had omicron-specific data,” Director Walensky acknowledged. Regarding the lack of clarity from the CDC, she added, “I think what I have not conveyed is the uncertainty in a lot of these situations.” She stated her intent to be more clear and communicative about scientific public health data in the future.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Dr. Walensky as she manages the task of evaluating and communicating scientific information.
- For CDC officials as they monitor and assess the threats to public health.
- That the president and his health advisors would seek God’s guidance in providing recommendations to Americans.
