Joe Bryan transitions from Senior Advisor to CSO.
An executive order made by the president in December required the Department of Defense to introduce a full-time Chief Sustainability Officer into their ranks. The department had an Assistant Secretary filling that role, but this week Secretary Lloyd Austin redesignated Senior Advisor to the Secretary on Climate Joe Bryan to officially take on the position of CSO.
“As CSO, Mr. Bryan will report directly to the Secretary and the Deputy Secretary and will represent the Department on sustainability-related matters within the Department and in the interagency,” the defense secretary stated. He expects Mr. Bryan will bring his expertise to help run the department and operate in the interagency with President Biden’s energy goals in mind.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Joe Bryan as he takes on this new role in the Defense Department.
- That Secretary Austin would seek God’s guidance as he leads the U.S. military.
- That the president would be led by the Lord as commander in chief.
