Watch Your Step
In the 1960s, experts predicted that by the turn of the century technology would have overtaken so much of the world that the average American’s work week would be only 20 hours long, and they would work only half the year. The worry then was what people would do to occupy their leisure time. In a few years, one quarter of this new century will have passed, and most people work at least 40 hours a week with only a couple of weeks’ vacation each year. Predictions are often wrong. There are 365 days made up of 24 hours each in 2022. How will you spend them? God’s Word urges you to be mindful of how you spend your time, to use it wisely. Your time on this Earth is valuable in God’s economy. Make the most of every opportunity. Keep your priorities in order. Set aside purposeful time with the Lord. Expand your prayer life. Keep God first. Invite Him to order your steps and He will guide you in wisdom.
