President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden will be going from Rohoboth Beach, Delaware, to their home in Wilmington today. The president has no public events scheduled at this time.
The White House Covid Response Team will hold a briefing today joined by federal health officials. The CDC has made adjustments to some coronavirus guidelines, reducing the length of time required for quarantining for those who are vaccinated, shortening the recommended isolation from 10 days to 5.
During the conference call with state governors that was held on Monday, the president said, “Look, there is no federal solution. This gets solved at a state level.” President Biden stated, “My message to the governors is simple: If you need something, say something — and we — we’re going to have your back in any way we can.”
On Tuesday, the White House declared the administration is “making sure states have what they need to tackle COVID including: – 1,000 additional doctors and nurses – stockpiling millions of gowns, gloves, masks, and ventilators – adding vaccine and booster capacity.”
