Operation Allies Welcome now focusing on housing.
On December 23, Operation Allies Welcome Senior Response Official Robert Fenton announced that the final group of Afghan civilian allies were safely evacuated from Afghanistan. The agency has provided temporary housing facilities for them as they process secure resettlement at safe havens across the country.
“As another one of our safe haven locations completes operations, we remain steadfast in our commitment to safely welcome our Afghan allies to the United States,” said Mr. Fenton. “With operations now completed at Marine Corps Base Quantico, I would like to thank all the federal staff, servicemembers, and volunteers who made it possible for more than 49,000 Afghan evacuees to begin to rebuild their lives in America.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for Robert Fenton as he focuses on the next portion of Operation Allies Welcome.
- For the Marine Corps as they set up and tend to the temporary housing installations for the next few months.
- That safe resettlement would go smoothly for these Afghan allies and the immigration facilities assisting them.
