Programs are to encourage parental participation in school and student life.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of Education opened applications for the Statewide Family Engagement Centers program. The program will offer $5 million in grants to organizations that train parents how to better engage with their child’s learning program, both in familial participation and organizational engagement.
“Parents’ voices are critical to the success of our education system. They are our children’s first, and most influential teachers,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. “In fact, meaningful parent engagement in schools has never been more important than now as we work together to support our learners during a pandemic.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Secretary Cardona as he advocates for a more integrated education system.
- That organizations applying for these grants would receive them and be benefited by them.
- That families across the country would be granted better access to resources they need through these education programs.
