$20 billion investment will research new energy solutions to combat climate change.
The Department of Energy announced on Tuesday that it had created a new Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations under the recently-passed infrastructure legislation to tackle the nation’s energy challenges. By using $20 billion from the recently passed infrastructure bill, the new office will seek out new energy technologies with the goal of reducing emissions to address climate change.
Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm expressed the importance of the new office, stating, “Thanks to the investments Congress made in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations will move clean energy technologies out of the lab and into local and regional economies across the country, proving the value of technologies that can deliver for communities, businesses, and markets.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That officials in the Energy Department would look to the Lord for guidance as they seek to develop renewable energy sources.
- For the president’s administration to be wise in pursuing clean energy solutions.
- For Secretary Granholm seek God’s discernment as she leads the Energy Department.
