Reports indicate that three people have died and least six were injured.
Police were quickly dispatched to a high school in Oxford Township, north of Detroit, Tuesday after someone opened fire, killing three and wounded at least six others.
The suspected shooter was arrested and a handgun was recovered, according to the sheriff’s office, which added it doesn’t think there was more than one attacker.
The total injured has not been confirmed.
Michigan Representative Elissa Slotkin said following the news, “This is a dark & painful day for Michigan. I send my deepest condolences to the families of the three students who have lost their lives — they have received the worst news any parent can ever imagine.” She added, “We must continue to pray and hope for the additional students and teacher who have been injured, and for the students who are in shock right now.”
