New electric shuttles will be tested at Yellowstone National Park
The Departments of the Interior and Transportation signed a new joint pledge on Wednesday to test out new green transportation technologies within National Parks. One of the first projects of this joint venture will be to replace an aging shuttle system in Yellowstone National Park with a new electric fleet. Projects will also include trail widening for increased pedestrian and bicycle use.
Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland stated of the project, “As our national parks and public lands experience a surge of visitation, we must be innovative in our approaches to welcome people from every ZIP code, while also ensuring that we pass on these natural and cultural resources to future generations.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president’s administration to seek God’s direction as they provide greater access to national parks for all Americans.
- For Secretary Haaland to be wise as she leads the Interior Department.
- For Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg to have discernment as he oversees infrastructure project funding.
