President Biden mandates private businesses with over 100 workers to comply by January 4 deadline.
On Thursday, President Biden announced that he would be directing the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to require all companies with over 100 employees to have their full staff vaccinated by January 4. If staff members are not vaccinated, they will be subjected to a mandated weekly negative COVID-19 testing to continue employment at the workplace. The mandate will also require unvaccinated employees to wear a mask in the office at all times.
In a statement released from the White House, President Biden said, “While I would have much preferred that requirements not become necessary, too many people remain unvaccinated for us to get out of this pandemic for good.” The mandate applies to an estimated 84 million workers across the country.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president and his administration to seek wisdom from God in their attempts to eradicate the virus.
- For officials at OSHA as they prepare to enforce the president’s mandate.
- That God would provide for and protect those who cannot be inoculated against COVID.
