Aims to reduce methane emissions by 30%.
On Tuesday, President Biden’s administration revealed its plan to reduce the impact of methane on the environment. Titled the “Methane Emissions Reduction Action Plan,” it is designed to decrease methane emissions by 30 percent by limiting venting and flaring of gas during drilling operations in the oil and gas sector.
As a part of his remarks to the U.N. Climate Summit, President Biden said, “One of the most important things we can do in this decisive decade, to keep 1.5 degrees in reach, is reduce our methane emissions as quickly as possible.” The president called on all of the world leaders in attendance to sign an agreement to all reduce their methane emissions by 30 percent.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the president as he promotes methane reduction to world leaders.
- That officials in the EPA would have wisdom as they address decreasing methane emissions.
- For the president’s administration to steward God’s creation well.
