Reflects on her family ties to the military.
First Lady Jill Biden traveled to Naples, Italy, on Monday to visit with families on the U.S. military base there. The school located on the base was established in 1951 after the end of World War II. The first lady reflected on her family ties to the military, noting that her father was a Navy Signalman in World War II and President Biden’s son Beau had served in Iraq.
She stated, “Not everyone knows what it’s like to be in your shoes. You face unique challenges, and your stories don’t always get told. I’ve worked on supporting military families for 10 years now. And on bases and at schools like this one, at the White House and in communities across the United States, I’ve heard your stories.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God to keep the first lady safe on her travels.
- For the families of active-duty U.S. military personnel whether living at home or abroad.
- That the first lady would seek God’s guidance as she promotes education.
