As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. – Ephesians 1:10
Ligaments, tendons, and muscles – they each have their own purpose, but they are tied together strongly in their functions. You can get along perfectly well without understanding what each one does in your body when each works as it should. However, there is a problem if one of them is strained.
When you think of the world in which you live, understand that it strains under the curse of sin. God created all things with perfection, but sin has caused tension, stress, and anxiety in the midst of people. And yet, God in His infinite wisdom has a purpose and plan that will continue to be carried out no matter the state of the affairs of humanity. Old Testament prophets did not fully understand the how and when of the Savior. It was a mystery not yet revealed to them. They were in an economy of time that was given only a partial glimpse of God’s plan.
When Jesus came to Earth as Savior, He brought a new economy of life to Jewish believers – one devoid of animal sacrifice, instead filled with the Holy Spirit. The first-century believers were now a Church united under the headship of Christ. It will exist until Jesus comes again in the fullness of time to “unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth” (Ephesians 1:10).
Until that time, live in light of eternity showing the love of Christ in all you do. Unite with other believers in proclaiming the love of God that is available to all. Do not be silent. Then pray for a uniting of Christians in government to seek God’s will in this present economy.
Today’s Verse: Ephesians 1:10
As a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

19 For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God. 20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. 23 And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.
