Former President Bill Clinton was released on Sunday from a Southern California hospital after six days of treatment for an infection. He was in the state for a private event for his foundation when he was admitted to the University of California Irvine Medical Center after a urological infection spread to his bloodstream.
Dr. Alpesh Amin, the Health Department of Medicine Executive Director who oversaw the medical treatment, said President Clinton’s “fever and white blood cell count are normalized, and he will return home to New York to finish his course of antibiotics.” The former president gave a thumbs-up as he walked out of the medical center with his wife.
