Cloud-based system to replace 23-year-old program.
The Department of Defense will be replacing its Defense Travel System (DTS) with a contemporary travel management system. “My Travel” is going to take over the DTS, which was created in 1998 and has received poor user reviews, in handling the millions of trips military personnel make each year. Concur Technologies, the company receiving the contract, has worked with the Defense Department for three years on cybersecurity and compliance.
The award contract stated, “The Government requires a secure, efficient, and effective commercial travel solution to book travel, provide travel fulfillment service, manage travel-related expenses, and initiate travel-related financial transactions.” The new cloud-based system is projected to be in place by 2025.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For leaders in the Defense Department as they seek to enhance security and efficiency in military systems.
- For the company creating the new travel system to provide a smoother and more cost-effective travel experience for U.S. armed forces.
- For safety for troops traveling for deployment.
